After a couple of years of silence, I am happy to be back.
I have a few things I want to talk about but I will start by talking about work as I now work in two different places in Oslo.
First I work at the Qigong og Akupunktur Senter
in Holmlia. This center has been established for many years and it is
nice to work with an experienced Qigong teacher and acupuncturist.
During the month of September I am offering a free 15-minute massage on a
massage chair as well as a discount on the first two treatments.
Then I am also working at Green Village
in Majorstuen. The center just opened and its focus is yoga and
ayurvedic medicine, but there is also massage, music classes and
acupuncture. There is an organic food place and many other therapies.
The center is offering a great promotion on a combo yoga class-massage-organic meal. You can look for Green Village Oslo in Facebook as well.
It is a very exciting time to start working again after a long break
with work. I have read about a few things during that time:
mobilization, pain science, sleep medicine, running, eating, Norway, and
many other things . It has been a time of questioning of what I am
doing, of my training, my profession, and my future. Still I think that
massage therapy is a great tool in the complementary medicine but we
need to be a bit more trained and develop our critical thinking on our
own practice.
So I will try to share my experiences, reading and many other things I
am interested in. I have learned so much from people that I would like
to do the same and pass on anything that I think is worthwhile in the
areas I am passionate about. Thank you for reading and don't hesitate to
comment and share your thoughts about my posts.
